I started at Blackbaud in early 2016 as a software engineer. From 2018, I led the professional services engineering team, overseeing and implementing custom projects for our larger clients. Our projects are fast paced, primarily using React to build applications that integrate with our core platform's fundraising APIs.

I moved to Plantminer to lead a distributed and diverse front-end engineering team split between Brisbane and Manila. The primary focus was building and leading the team to focus on migrating an old inconsistent jQuery UI to a unified and consistent React front-end.

After taking a year off to spend with my newborn daughter, I focused more on front-end development. Limelight was a creative agency who worked with some leading brands in Australia. I worked my way from a junior role to a more senior role leading on project delivery.

This was my first role out of University, where as a junior I was on the front line of client support. I quickly developed an empathy for end users, working quickly to understand and fix sometimes complex issues.

I graduated in 2010 from QUT in Brisbane majoring in web application development. The focus was on theory such as engineering principles, design patterns and different programming paradigms.
